Thank you for taking your time with the interview for AllArtSupport.

AllArtSupport :bulletblack:  1. Tell us a few words about yourself.

AllArtSupport :bulletblack: 2. What is the story behind your nickname?

AllArtSupport :bulletblack: 3. Which are the reasons you have made an account on Deviantart? Which are your expectation?

tanyadavisart :bulletred: I have been a member of DeviantArt for almost ten years. I first created the account when I was in college. I thought it would be a great way to share my work and be inspired by the other fabulous artists here. There was a good 8 year span where I didn't post a thing. This was mainly due to the kind of job I had at the time. For the past 2 years I finally have the time to explore and create and I am enjoying every minute of it.

AllArtSupport :bulletblack: 4. Could you name some of your favorite artists (painter, musicians, writers, etc)?

tanyadavisart :bulletred: I tend to be drawn to styles/movements. I love Art Deco and Nouveau. I love Frank Lloyd Wright Architecture. The simplicity of the design and the clean lines are wonderful. Music: The Sounds, Metric, Linkin Park, The Civil Wars, Wailing Jennys, Pink....

AllArtSupport :bulletblack: 5. When and how did you start experimenting with your artistic side?

tanyadavisart :bulletred: I have ALWAYS loved to draw and color. I think that is how it started. Then I fell in love with comic books and would trace whatever I could. I briefly toyed with the idea of going into comics, but well that never happened. Then more recently I found my calling with clay, Deco inspired drawings and making jewelry.

AllArtSupport :bulletblack: 6. What does “ART” mean to you?

tanyadavisart :bulletred: ART for me means freedom. When I am working I am free from all worries and cares. There is only me and the piece I am working on. The other stresses of everyday life are far away and I can just use the time to refocus and re energize.

AllArtSupport :bulletblack: 7. What influences do you have ?

tanyadavisart :bulletred: I am influenced by my new love of Steampunk. Also I have a BS in Architecture and I find the things I learned in my design courses are always with me. I also love the Art Deco Style and I find that influences a great deal of what I draw.

AllArtSupport :bulletblack: 8. What inspires You?

tanyadavisart :bulletred: Many things inspire me. It could be a building, an animal, another artist her on Deviantart. I am open to all things and that makes it easy to find inspiration in the world around me.

AllArtSupport :bulletblack: 9. What kind of equipment do you use?

tanyadavisart :bulletred: My figurines are done with polymer clay. I use bits from old watches and interesting bits from the hardware store for some of the accent pieces. When I draw I like to use the PrismaColor markers. I can't paint, but hope to someday branch out into it. I also use photoshop to do some edits when I take pictures. I like using PhotoMatrix for the HDR (High Dynamic Range) photos.

AllArtSupport :bulletblack: 10.  Of your own work, which has the most meaning to you and why?

tanyadavisart :bulletred:  I can't name one piece but I am really attached to my little polymer figurines. Each is different and seems to take on a life of it's own and I love that. I have yet to actually keep one for myself. I think if I start doing that I will be over run with them.

AllArtSupport :bulletblack: 12. Your Quote?

tanyadavisart :bulletred: I have never really had a quote. It is too hard to pick one. The mood is always changing.

Steampunk'd Spirit by tanyadavisart

AllArtSupport :bulletblack: 13. What advice would you give to other Deviants?

tanyadavisart :bulletred: I think your deviant account should be for you above all else. It is not about how many page views you get or how many people favorite your art. It should be about you exploring and expanding your horizons. I think if you are just concerned about page views you are missing out on everything else. It's quality not quantity. (ha! that could be my quote).

AllArtSupport :bulletblack: 14.  Is there anything else you would like to add?

tanyadavisart :bulletred:  I think that does it for me. Thanks again for showing an interest in my work. I hope to get to know more of you and see some more great art. :-)
