Hello Francesca, please tell us a bit about yourself. How did you discover your passion for Cosplay?
LadyShineSakura
I made my first cosplay, but I didn't know what this passion was!
A friend contacted and asked me to take part at an expo and I discovered this passion!
AllArtSupport Which are the reasons you have made an account in deviantART? What makes you choose to stay?
LadyShineSakura To follow artists, designers, painters, writers, photographers etc and talk to them!
Just to ask for advice and exchange ideas!
AllArtSupport Could you name some of your favorite artists? (Painters, musicians, writers, etc.)
LadyShineSakura For writers I go on the classic: JK Rowling, JRR Tolkien, and an Italian writer called Licia Troisi!
I love the fantasy genre, I love to write and read.
Musicians of other nationalities I love the Japanese band: The GazettE and my favorite Italian musician is: Renato Zero.
AllArtSupport Who creates all your lovely costumes?
LadyShineSakura I create costumes, weapons and armor with the help of my mother, father and boyfriend! I still have a lot to earn! Try new techniques!
AllArtSupport Which characters do you enjoy most and why?
LadyShineSakura I feel connected to many characters but the most important is Mystique from X-Men!
It’s something magical.
AllArtSupport You seem to have a lot of fun while producing the photo shoots. How do you come up with the concepts for your Cosplay photos?
LadyShineSakura It depends on the character! You can search on the net to find ideas or original photos from the film / video game / manga.
For me it's important the setting, it is often very difficult to find one perfect!
I am still search one for the next Mystique's photoset!
AllArtSupport Last year you were model of the week on “Gamezmentor”! Congratulations! Please tell us about the experience. How did that opportunity affect your Cosplayer life?
LadyShineSakura Thank you very much! It was fantastic! It was my first interview and came unexpected!
AllArtSupport How far do you take your Cosplaying, do you participate in any kind of events?
LadyShineSakura I am part of a team that organizes the contest very famous in Italy!
I participate to the contests are not organized by us! I enjoy them because I can do my own interpretation!
AllArtSupport Out of all the beautiful work you have in your gallery, which piece is your favorite and why?
LadyShineSakura Mystique, she's simply magical, I feel very much like her! Is a special link!
AllArtSupport What is the most important lesson you’ve learned about Cosplaying and why is it so important to you?
LadyShineSakura Cosplay is an art but above all is fun! It’s perfect for meet new friends whit your interests! Important is your fun not awards! The love with you make your costumes and have fun with your friends are the most important things!
AllArtSupport What aspects of Cosplaing or art in general would you like to explore, that you haven’t yet?
LadyShineSakura Regarding the cosplay I want to study the processing for create armors with new techniques.
In general I want to study my second musical instrument!
